How to request deletion

Send an email to tech@utsavapp.in from the email or phone number registered on your account, with the subject:

Delete my Utsav Panditji affiliate account

Include in the body:

• Your registered phone number (the one used for OTP login)
• Your full name
• Reason for deletion (optional)

We will:

1. Verify your identity by sending an OTP to the registered phone.
2. Process the deletion within 30 days as required under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA).
3. Confirm completion via email.

In-app deletion

You can also initiate deletion directly from the app:

1. Open Utsav Panditji on your device.
2. Go to the Account tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog.

Data that is deleted

The following data is permanently removed from our systems:

• Profile information (name, phone, city, state, temple name)
• KYC documents (PAN number and any uploaded images)
• Bank account, IFSC, and UPI details
• Affiliate code, tier, and click/conversion attribution records
• Active login sessions and device push tokens

Data that is retained

Indian financial and tax regulations require us to retain the following for the legally mandated period (7 years from the date of the last transaction):

• Commission transaction records (amount, date, GST invoice references)
• Payout receipts and bank transfer logs
• Limited KYC audit trail (only metadata — PAN and bank details are removed; the audit logs that PII access occurred remain)

This retention is required for compliance with the Income Tax Act, GST law, and RBI guidelines. We cannot waive it.
